The Germans, efficient as ever, came up with an elegant gabardine coat and that was that! 70 years on and they're still in issue, albeit in a more ceremonial capacity. The design is quite Western, featuring a double breasted closure and a notched lapel. The main difference against an East German greatcoat of the same era, being that the West utilised gabardine over thicker wool tweeds. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp style=\"text-align: left;\"\u003eThe coats come entirely in dark grey which is contrasted but the stippled silver buttons. The liner inside is split colour wise between a grey sateen polyester top and a blue checkered tartan bottom. Said liner isn't the thickest, but certainly does help insulate in autumnal weather.
