Our Sizes
Chest or Waist Size
We firstly list the measurement of a chest or waist size, followed by our suggested size using these measurements and then finally any labelling that may be given by the army if it is eligible. We obtain our measurements by either taking the armpit to armpit measurement and then doubling it (example; a pit to pit measurement of 21" becomes Chest Size: 42", the same is done by measuring each ends of a waistband and doubling). Please note that when we give our suggested size, this takes into account things like the item's intended use (example; a pair of coveralls or a smock that reads Chest: 42" will be recommend to somebody who has a 39" chest in reality to account for manoeuvrability and comfort). In short, "Chest Size" is the doubled pit to pit measurement and "Waist Size" is the doubled waistband measurement.
In our suggested sizes below, you may be confused by the Fit Type, this in essence is just to specify sizes a bit better than what you'd get on the high street, while still sticking with familiar terminology. A jacket brought in person may just say "M" and give a range of "38-40"" but we will break that down a bit further, giving you a tailored fit, so you can look your best.

Height & Length
For height and length, we try keep it pretty straight forward. For the vast population, as long as you fit into one of these heights, then you can be confident in the length you're getting. We take these measurements into account when we do Sleeve Length and Inside Leg Length. Sleeve Length is measured from the shoulder hem to the cuff and the Inside Leg Length is from the crotch to the hem. We also list the Collar to Hem length and the Total Length for trousers.
