Issued for decades and only now 40+ years later, these caps are being phased out. This is perhaps one of the best pieces of Austrian surplus around, only just behind their waterproof combat jackets. These are issued to most branches of the army and have been a favourite for years.

The cap has a few features, helping you be prepared for all weather. Above all, it is exceptionally comfortable and warm, thanks to the tailored quilting and faux fur mixture. There's ear vents to enable better hearing or ventilation if desired. This space also enables comfort for earphones if you're so inclined. The large ear flaps can be joined together to offer protection to lower parts of the head. The soft canvas blend material also allows for windproofing and great resistance against wetter days too.
