A tactical thermal layer that is an unusual cardigan compared to most. Issued throughout the Austrian Army as general standard. It takes inspiration from Austria's NATO ally, the United States and their "polartec" fleeces. However, being Austrian, it improves upon the American design, having slanted pockets, rank tags and thumb holes. Perhaps the most practical insulating addition is the drawstring collar to really help keep the cold out.
