Wonderful military surplus from Belgium in the midst of the cold war. These jackets were first issued in the mid 1960s and saw use right up until 1999 when it was replaced by the bold and iconic Belgian "jigsaw" camouflage pattern. Still, for a good few decades these M64 coats served several thousand Belgians out in the field. Being made from an all cotton material, it is fantastically durable and useful against harsh winds.
Aside from the jacket's unique style of slanted pockets, it offers several practical features. You'll find a total of 6 pockets with 2 on the rear usually intended for softer items. To help insulate you in blustery weather, you can adjust the sleeve cuffs via velcro and tightened a drawstring around the hem and waist to trap in heat. There is also a secreted hood for light rain.
All jackets come in olive green, a classic colour tried and tested colour that works great for all walks of life, from fishing and bird watching to general outdoor use like hiking, farm work, bushcraft etc.
