Grades - 

• Grade 2 / Original Condition - In great condition for its age. Naturally there are signs of wear over the years, from some small holes on the jacket and trousers (this is mostly on the lining of the jacket) to some tarnish / aging on the bullion details. Velvet has worn in places as has the lining on the collar. Buttons are in very nice condition. Trousers look to have been widened at some point, with extra fabric and a new button hole being added. A fascinating piece of British history, worn by those who held court with the monarch. While today the tradition is seldom upheld with more lax dress codes being accepted, for centuries it was standard to wear a piece such as this. The jacket features some stunning bullion thread decoration on, around sections of plush velvet. The entire piece is just a beautiful piece of craftsmanship from the material to the buttons.
