A classic piece of vintage British surplus. This jacket is the predecessor to the current issued No. 2 uniform, which takes much of its inspiration from this beautiful jacket which in turn has been formed from hundreds of years of military history. Jackets like this one were used for ceremonial and general duties around barracks and the likes. It is slightly more boxy than the newer issued jackets, but is of fantastic quality.
The jacket has a sophisticated yet utilitarian look, made with purpose. It has 2 chest pockets along with 2 much larger flap hip pockets, as well as internal slit pockets for storing important or smaller items, everything from IDs and wallets to packets of gum and cigarettes.
We often have a few old pattern No. 2 dress trousers on hand if you're after a complete uniform!
