Grades -
- Grade 2 - Good quality surplus, in need of a little TLC. It has signs of prior use and has a few tiny holes in the one pocket, some fraying around the cuffs, small markings and a repair made across the front. Price reflects these flaws but being such a good quality material it has many more years of use, especially if you're more into a distressed look anyway.

Vintage British surplus dating back to the 1980's. These smocks were general issue and were used by a wide array of soldiers in the decade they were issued. Coats like this saw used during the troubles in Ireland, as well in UN Peacekeeping missions during the dissolution of Yugoslavia.
The smock offers a ton of storage solutions, with 4 large button pockets across the front body and a tool pocket on each arm sleeve. Internally, there's even more, with 2 massive pouches on either side of the chest as well as a fish tail pouch on the rear, which is incredibly useful if you carry soft items, like towels, sleeping bags, etc.
For your comfort and insulation, the whole garment is made of a durable heavy cotton blend that does an excellent job of wind resistance. It holds up decently in wet weather, but is by no means waterproof. To further help keep the cold weather out, the front closure is made up of a zipper and buttons which provides a windflap, as well as the sleeve cuffs being velcro adjustable.
The colour is of course the iconic British DPM, although this is an earlier variety than the more well known S95 or S2000. There may be some variation of colour, mostly due to difference manufacturers or tweaks to the garment. Great for camouflage as intended, or just hiding dirt and other stains. DPM always makes for an amazing piece of militaria.
