Pre Soldier 95 desert gear from Great Britain. These lovely shirts were only issued for a few years and were tweaked only a tiny bit before the more renowned and usual S95 series of gear rolled out. These older shirts are made of a cotton material and have a little more variation in camouflage hue than the standardised S95.
Being made of an all cotton material the shirt is rather comfortable and great for all occasions! Hide and seek among your favourite dunes, hardcore Iraq re-enacting, or just sat drinking some orange juice, the possibilities are endless. Officially these are combat jackets, but work just as well as a shirt!
The jacket comes with 2 main chest pockets for storing slightly larger items and then a pen sleeve on the left with a small pocket on the right for whatever you may need. The jacket can be buttoned or zipped shut and if it's a particularly windy day the cuffs can be fastened tighter and collar overturned to provide better insulation.
Desert Disruptive Pattern Material or DDPM, was developed in the mid 1980's and wasn't really mass produced until the First Gulf War when the British found themselves unable to properly clothe their personnel. This particular gear is mostly the 2nd series of desert DPM.
