Modern surplus from the warmer branches of the British army. This No. 6 jacket belonged to a member of the Queen's Gurkha Rifles, a brigade which has a wonderfully rich history. This particular jacket has a ribbon medal for service in Afghanistan, meaning the previous owner would've seen overseas combat.

The No. 6 jacket is worn in a similar manner to No. 2 dress back in the UK, but with the No. 6 it is made of a much lighter, breathable material and is in a much more muted colour.  It features 2 chest pockets and 2 faux waist pockets. There is also functional epaulettes and an area around the waist for a belt to be worn, although this particular jacket does not come with the clasps. The front of the jacket is done up by mixture of buttons and snap studs. Each button is engraved with the brigade's emblem.
