Splendid British surplus from a bygone era. These cavalry trousers were issued to those men riding throughout the first world war and the interwar period. They're made of a thick cavalry twill material giving durability and comfort while riding. This part is likely more for ceremonial use than active duty but given the wear it is possible it was used for both. It features button cuffs and a rather dated button fly system. It also has suede pads on each calf to protect the rider when galloping on horseback. These were intended to be worn with suspenders to keep the trousers well fitted when out in the field. They make for a gorgeous antique piece even while needing some TLC and certainly deserved to be in a militaria collectible.
