A wonderful piece of vintage clothing. These came from a gentleman's trunk who served in the Merchant Navy in South East Asia, mostly Singapore and Hong Kong during the 1950's and 60's. During his service he gathered a fine collection of clothing, from general day to day working items and more casual summer kit. This one happens to be the prior and has that classic safari bush dress look, reminiscent of many British explorers over the decades, but using local materials, making for a lighter tropical suit.
