Grades -
- Grade 2 / Original Condition - In pretty decent shape for its age but of course there are signs of age including mothing holes as shown and some markings across the piece. Main moth points are on the epaulettes, which are slightly sunbleached due to long term storage as well. Some wear to the inner armpit lining but nothing major. All in all does show its age but who wouldn't at over a hundred years of age?

A stunning frockcoat worn by a Mr Chamberlain, who served throughout the First World War. While the exact date is unknown to us, the buttons with 2 star filler marks and Gieve's Ltd stamp place it after 1916 and as a likely wartime piece due to these fillers which helped increase production. At the very latest it would be an early interwar piece. The coat itself is of course made of an excellent wool, used for ceremonial occasions it is a stunning piece. The cuffs and shoulder epaulettes feature bullion thread work displaying the insignia of a Lieutenant Commander.
