Grades - 

• Grade 1 - Excellent condition for its age. Buttons date the jacket around the 1940's, likely just after the war. No holes or tears on the jacket. Cuff laurels are slightly faded, but in great shape for their age. An excellent collectible piece.

A superb blazer from a gentleman who'd originally trained with the Royal Navy before the outbreak of WW2. Serving across the Atlantic, Mediterranean and right across to the Indian ocean, the previous owner had a full life of service within the navy, playing a crucial part in the allied war effort. Given the rank of Lieutenant Commander, it is more than likely the owner was in quite a leading role, especially at the start of the war given the Royal Naval Reserve's professionalism and expertise which was desperately needed by the Royal Navy proper while calling up recruits. The jacket is of an excellent quality, made of 100% wool and features engraved buttons and bullion cuff laurels, along with many ribbons detailing the life of this gentleman.
