Grades -

  • Grade 1 - Phenomenal surplus with a brilliant history to it. The jacket has light signs of prior wear and buttons, badges etc. are all in pretty good condition. Only thing to note is that the cuffs don't feel as stiff as they should be so an iron would be beneficial to keep the crease. Excellent condition and really a fantastic collector's piece.

Stunning and distinctive modern surplus from Great Britain. Issued to Royal Marine Commandos, it is designed for use in ceremonial occasions, it is akin to the army's No. 2 dress uniform, but with a few key distinctions. The jacket comes in a shade used only by the marines and features darkened bronze buttons which feature the emblem of the Royal Marines.

This beautiful jacket belonged to a gentleman who certainly made a career out of the army, first serving in Sierra Leone in the early 2000's right up to 2022 when the Queen celebrated her platinum Jubilee. The previous owner was a trained parachutist and made it up to the rank of Sergeant. The uniform is decorated with several medals across the ribbon bar as well as the Royal Marines' shoulder and collar badges. A stunning piece full of British military history, fit for any collection.

The jacket has 4 external pockets, all of which can be buttoned shut and also features 2 internal slit pockets for smaller items. Shoulder epaulettes attach prestigious sashes and rank badges, along with other distinctive decorations. The jacket is lined with a sateen material and is made of a 100% quality wool material. Truly something special for those who do absolutely phenomenal work.

For colour, "Lovat's Green" is a lovely blend of mossy greens and browns, a subtle combination that adds depth to a fantastic pair of trousers. This is likely as close as the British have to a "field grey" colour.
