Great surplus from the Danish. If you're after a pretty nondescript but durable coat, this civil defence era piece is excellent. Made of a long lasting cotton material, the parka comes with several pockets offering ample storage when out and about. You'll also find it is great for insulation especially in cold windy weather thanks to the drawstring adjustable hem and waistband, not to mention the button adjustable cuffs. 

The coat also has a few nods to its history during the Cold War. The sleeve features the emblem of the Danish Civil Defence, or "CIVILFORSVARET", which like many countries in the aftermath of WW2, continued funding for protecting its civilian population just in case things went south again. The entire branch of government and the history around it is fascinating and makes for great reading, especially if you're looking for a utilitarian jacket with a story!
