Vintage surplus but with a more modern design from the Dutch Army. These jackets were first made general issue at the end of the 1970's when the Dutch moved away from more traditional, heavier materials like wool to form a modern uniform. Each jacket was made for a range of environments, usually temperate. The cotton canvas material offers excellent durability and offers good wind resistance on harsher days.

Across the jacket there's 4 button flap pockets offering ample storage. To help insulate the jacket there's adjustable cuffs and a drawstring around the waist, in addition to the turnover storm collar. Something noticeable with the M78 is that there is a ton of buttons, all with meaning. There is the option for a hood as well as a thermal liner for the winter months. It comes in a solid olive green colour, a classic in army surplus and great for those keen on the outdoors, bushcraft, or just want a military grade jacket without the camouflage.
