• Grade 2 / Original Condition - In decent shape but needing some repairs. Most buttons missing off the fly. Various markings as shown. Small hole on the leg needing a little sewing. Price reduced due to this being a project piece

Vintage surplus from East Germany. Designed for harsh cold winter weather they offer a simplistic but effective design. Due to the dismay of many East German technicians, when the Berlin wall came down, East German surplus was sold off on mass, despite it being some of the most effective and well tested army gear at the time. 

The trousers focus on warmth above all, being quilted with a warming polyester for the entire leg length. The bottom of the trousers offer adjustable cuffs to help insulate and does give a bit of breathing room with the quilting so you don't accidentally suck up any water in wet weather. 

Then for storage there's 2 slit pockets and a further 2 spacious thigh front pockets, all of which can be fastened shut with buttons. Internally there's suspender loops for you to fasten the trousers with.

Finally for the colour, you'll find the classic East German "Strichmuster" or "Raindrop" pattern, an iconic Eastern Bloc colourway, made up of olive and dark brown lines, giving the impression of falling rain, hence the name. It's a cute and simple camo that holds up pretty well even today!
