An exceptionally rare piece of Finnish gear, only really comparable to WW2 surplus. This is the M53 Trial uniform, an earlier model of the world renowned M65 uniform, with its grey wool and timeless style which was designed from British WW2 battledress jackets, but with a few subtle differences. The biggest difference is the shade, unlike the M65 it comes in this brownish hue and has button adjustable cuffs that lack the glamour of the engraved ones the next series of uniform saw. It is still made of a high quality wool material with a cotton lining in places. It also includes a flap collar for harsh weather. The jacket saw trial with a few garrison divisions during the early days of the Cold War, with only a few hundred ever being made meaning its a real gem to find!
