Grades - 

• Grade 1 - In fantastic shape given its age. The piece has been looked after by the Finnish National Theatre, who brought a lot of old stock from the government's warehouses in the 60's. There's some small holes on the collar and ever so slight scuffs on the shoulder epaulettes where rank pins have been removed. Collar patches have been removed with the remaining thread being green so quite likely belonging to an infantryman originally. It should also be noted the back has been extended to make the jacket larger, so there is a slight change in hue on the rear, but the tailoring job is excellent. Definitely up for reenactments or as a great collection piece!

An absolutely beautiful piece of militaria from the Finns. Issued throughout the mid 1930's up until around the 1940's this earlier model of the Finnish jacket is made of an exceptionally comfortable wool material, adorned with lovely brass buttons which contrast against the grey body. Each button is engraved with the Finnish lion too. You'll find plenty of storage on the jacket too, with 4 external pockets and some helpful pouches internally too. It's a beautiful jacket with an incredibly complex and dense history too. A fantastic piece for any collector or for reenactments.
