Grades - 

• Grade 1 / Original Condition - Given its age and prior life, it is in great shape, but with clear signs of age. The whole coat has some yellowing across it from long term storage, along with some wear on the collar. Cuff laurels are grubby too. Lining has several holes and scuffs as photographed, along with large hole on the armpit lining. Epaulettes look like they have been replaced at some point. Please see all photos for the beautiful details of this piece as well as any flaws. We'd all have a few being 80 odd years old and emigrating to the UK.

An absolutely stunning piece of Finnish militaria. First issued as part of the standard uniform in the early 1920's, the M22 greatcoat continued service well into WW2 as the M36 model kept the old tried and tested design. The overcoat itself is made of an excellent quality wool material that still holds up after all these years. The coat is fully sateen lined and features engraved Finnish Lion brass buttons, made by the O.Y. Suomen Nappitehdas company. It includes 2 large flap pockets as well as 2 internal pouches. 

This particular coat belonged to a gentleman holding the rank of Captain within the Finnish Forces, within the Armoured Division, the country's sole tank division which included the armoured brigade and the 1st Jaeger brigade, seeing plenty of action in the snow covered battlefield of the East. An exceptional piece of militaria.
