Wonderful retro surplus from the French Foreign Legion. These unique jackets fit into the unique nature of Foreign Legion, a branch of the French Army which has a fascinating history. These are issued for ceremonial purposes in hot, arid climates, which make for a fantastic spectacle as the jackets are often adorned with bright dazzling medals and patches.

The jacket features 2 slit wrist pockets which are hidden under the 2 main front folds as well as an internal chest pocket for storing smaller items. The wrist cuffs can be worn open or shut and the elasticated waistband really gives a wonderful tailored look to each jacket. There are also functional shoulder epaulettes for attaching gear to or fastening ceremonial sashes to. This is a great jacket to easily blend in with neutral tones for a plain look, or to balance out a vibrant bold outfit.
