Fantastic army surplus coming from the early days of German reunification. This type of jacket was issued right up until 2005 when the only design tweak, was the hue of Flecktarn. Aside from one tiny tweak, the German's have been delighted with this tried and tested design, which sees use right across the board, from trainee cadets right up to officers, in all types of temperate landscape.

Offering plenty of features the coat comes with a total of 6 pockets, 5 of which are particularly sizeable. The coat also comes with plenty of options for insulation, from a drawstring hood, hem and waistband, right up to velcro adjustable cuffs, to really help trap in heat in harsh winds. On more humid days there are zipper armpits if desired.

Flecktarn is of course becoming quite the iconic and respected camouflage pattern. As such it is managing to hold off on the current Multicam uniform trend followed by most NATO countries. Flecktarn as mentioned earlier, has only ever had a slight change in the 3 decades of its life, quite an achievement when compared to the numerous tweaks some patterns like British DPM went through.
