Vintage surplus from the end days of West Germany, although the design is still in use today! This particular jacket comes from 1990, the year where East and West reunified and the iron curtain fell over the heart of Europe. The jacket is of an excellent quality and is made for soldiers who have completed basic training. The previous owner of this jacket was a member of the 1st Airborne Brigade, a paratrooper section of the German army. The owner made it up to the rank of "Haupt­gefreiter" which is akin to Corporal in the United Kingdom, so it is safe to say they had a decent career within the German Armed Forces.

The jacket comes with 4 external button pockets and 2 internal slit pockets for all your smaller pieces. Each metal button is nicely stippled. Around the collar you'll find the infantry corps tabs in the "Forest Green" colour. The left sleeve features the 1st Airborne's division insignia patch. The rear is single vented and the jacket is lined throughout with a sateen type material.
