Grades -
- Grade 1.5 - In good shape, general signs of prior wear but this is mostly some fading on the fabric. Hook & eye closure has a bit of rust but doesn't impact use. Up for much more wear!

This is the Hungarian M75 "tanker" jacket. A durable canvas coat that was issued across armoured section's of the People's army, including tank and motorised branches. They're a shorter cut than the usual field jacket and also include an elasticated waistband for a more tailored fit. The majority of the Hungarian People's Army relied on surplus Soviet equipment, such as the PT-76 tank, BRDM-2 APC and namely the T-55 tank. The force consisted of around 80,000 across all branches at the time of the M75 uniform being issued. Hungarians saw battle in the 1960's but had a relatively quiet period until the end of the Cold War.
The jackets are an interesting piece, half way modernised favouring improved cuts, lined pockets and zipper pockets, but still retained a rather bulky layering system for the winter. The faux fur quilted liner was heavily influenced by the Soviet Union's telogreika jacket, which in all fairness is a fantastic body warmer. The telogreika is made of a thick woollen blend beneath cotton twill, making for a comfortable layer.
