An absolute classic piece of military surplus from Italy. These jackets were general issued from the mid 1970s onward until around the 2000's when they were slowly phased out and reduced to stock for cadets. Over the several decades these were issued, they served many Italians quite well, with a soft and durable poly cotton blend material and plenty of features for lightweight excursions.

Each jacket comes with 4 pockets, all of which are fastened shut with popper stud buttons. The 2 top ones are often intended for ammunition and radios, while the 2 larger bottom ones offer space for a whole host of various items. There's also an internal section around the hem to attach small items and tighten the hem, which fits in nicely with the other insulating features like the elasticated waistband and adjustable cuffs. In particularly harsh winds the collar turns over and can be fastened across to act as a storm collar.
