Heavy duty, durable and warm kit from the Romanian army. These coats were general issue but being as the camouflage was only issued for a few short years, they've become rather scarce. The Carpathian mountains and to an extent, the whole of Romania in winter can be pretty chilly, so these are made to provide excellent protection against the elements. Objectively one of the best winter surplus coats out there as the liner is so thick and warming. 

For features you'll find the coat has 2 spacious chest pockets as well as 2 slit wrist pockets to help keep your hands warm. There's a storm flap collar which helps insulate your person, as well as the drawstring cuffs. The wool felt liner is full length, keeping your body warm throughout. The torso area is exposed without a lining, but the arm lining is made up of polyester for ease in and out.

The jacket comes in the unique M1990 "leaf" camouflage. It's one of my favourites as it has such a nice story behind it. Supposedly M90 leaf was done to be seasonal, with various shades throughout the year. Another source suggests it was simply because the Romanian army wasn't able to standardise colouring in the various factories until a few years later. Most likely the story is a tale of the two.
