A personal favourite piece of vintage Romanian surplus from the mid 1990's, right as the country was coming out of the turmoil of the 1989 revolution, which saw the end of the Socialist Republic. This shirt would've been intended for issue right across the board, but only had a short shelf life of around 4 years before the country moved onto a slightly more effective camouflage known as the M94 pattern.

As the shirt was intended for use in all climates, it follows a standard field shirt design with 2 button chest pockets for smaller items and shoulder epaulettes for attaching rank slides and fastening gear securely to your person, great for bushcraft and outdoor adventures. The Romanians added a handy feature not often seen which is a single button on each sleeve and an internal strap to securely fix your rolled up cuffs in place for hotter days, giving easy access to short sleeves. Each shirt is made of a firm cotton material and may benefit from fabric softener, or with a vest below.

Supposedly the Romanian Army experimented with seasonal colorways for the M90 leaf design. Some slight variants, some lighter and more vibrant for the summer months, and cooler, darker colours for autumn and winter. Finding sources in English can be a little difficult, but I believe this particular shit to come in the "Summer" variant. Others say simply the Romanian textile industry at the time was so disconnected that issuing one standard shirt was impossible. Whichever you believe, the pattern is bold and rich with history.
