Vintage Romanian People's Republic surplus, used by the communist army as general issue from the mid 1960's onward. It was intended for an array of branches as it was a general issue item. It's quite minimal, with only the 2 chest pockets actually being pockets. There's an interior button pocket for ID, wallets, etc. 

My favourite part of the jackets are the buttons. Like most Eastern Bloc countries, Romania has beautifull embossed buttons, showing off their coat of arms. Although they're tiny, the buttons feature rolling mountains with a lakeside forest below all wrapped up inside a wheat laurel with a practically mandatory soviet star above! So much character packed into a tiny little button.
