Grades - 

• Grade 1 - Good condition having no holes or tears, would benefit from dry cleaning as there are a few marks across the piece from such long term storage and prior use. Buttons are in good shape. Some stars removed from the epaulettes. Up for plenty more use!

A beautiful and stunning piece of surplus from the Red Army. A coat like this one would've been worn by an NCO as winter uniform, it is made of a heavy wool material offering durability and warmth in harsh conditions. You'll find the coat has a double breasted button closure, all of which are engraved with a hammer and sickle sitting atop a star. 

On this particular coat you'll also find a few quaint characterful features, such as the rank boards for an officer who would've worked in the construction and engineering corps of the Red Army, shown by the golden collar badge with black tab. 

For features you of course have the water and wind resistance the all wool material provides, but you also have ample storage with 2 flap pockets, great for storing gloves, and an internal pocket for more delicate and intimate items. A high collar, and storm flap also help to provide insulation during the most bitter of winters. The entire piece is of timeless design, showing off the robust style of Soviet-era military attire. Great for a vintage wardrobe or for those after a collectible piece with a rich history.
