• Unissued - These are brand new items that have never been issued. They've been kept in great storage conditions and at most need a light iron where they've been folded, but really they're good to go!

These scarves measure around 120cm x 24cm, making it a decent mid length size. Obviously the scarf can be just that, but it can also make for a pretty cozy cravat if you are so inclined.

The scarf is a solid olive drab colour with a gentle sheen due to the material blend. Perfect for complementing brown and ochre colours or to contrast against something a more bold! 

From the translation, these scarves are from the "Moscow Embroidery Factory" and have no issue date. I'm not fluent in Russian, or any Slavic languages unfortunately so I can't do a great deal of digging to find examples of these being used, but chances are they'd have intended use by the Soviet Air Forces, purely for insulating pilots at high altitudes in a cost effective manner.  There's a possibility that these could have been used by officers and higher ranked staff in cold weather, but again sadly, I don't speak the language to research further.
