An absolutely stunning piece of vintage surplus from Sweden at war. This World War 2 piece of surplus comes from a neutral country that tiptoed throughout a dreadful conflict. During the late 1930's the Swedes spent a considerable amount of resources on modernising their army and this included the introduction of the M39 uniform. By today's standards it may appear bulky, but given the 100% wool material and numerous pockets, it still holds up quite well.
The tunic features 6 external pockets and 3 internal so storage is ample and offers a range of pocket sizes to suit whatever items you may need to pop away. The jacket has a looser material under the armpits to provide better flexibility. It is partially lined and would be a great autumnal wardrobe piece. In harsh winds the top bit of the lapel can be turned over and fastened shut.
A delightful touch is having every single button engraved with the 3 crowns of Sweden. The jacket comes in a field grey / brown colour.
