Exceptionally characterful vintage surplus from Switzerland, which offer a great deal of comfort without compromising on utility. Made from a thick 100% cotton material, these trousers were worn by Swiss soldiers in the field, mostly on Alpine training exercises due to the everlasting neutral stance of the Swiss government, even during the Cold War.
For features you'll find the usual slanted waist pocket on either leg, 2 large stud buttoned cargo pockets on the hip and finally a rear button pocket. Each leg can also be adjusted to your ideal width and each cuff can be tied to aid in insulation or splash protection if so desired. If worn as overtrousers you'll be happy to find access slits with a zipper closure so you can reach your proper trousers below.
Swiss Alpenflage is a camouflage renowned for its quirky and one of a kind pattern. It offers a charming style like no others. It has hues of ochre, green, red and black with splashes of bluish white. A fantastic pattern from the glory days of camouflage innovation. The 83 pattern is lighter than the previous 57 pattern. Aside from that, there isn't much difference in the design.
