This is a remarkable piece of Swiss militaria issued decades ago. Worn throughout the Second World War, greatcoats like this one were standard issue during Switzerland's most heightened state of neutrality. Despite no actual conflicts within the Swiss Alps, soldiers and officers alike were incredibly well prepared with a uniform such as this.

The coat's material is a medium weight and robust wool, with a functional and durable design. It features a double-cuff sleeve design, a half-belt back, and metal buttons engraved with the iconic Swiss cross. In particularly harsh conditions the collar can be turned over for extra protection and the rear vent can be buttoned shut for extra insulation. A final addition are the belt loops on either side of the hips, great for a heavy duty belt. It comes in a field grey colour, offering a nice hint of green grey to your wardrobe.
