- Grade 2 / Original Condition - Good quality surplus in need of some restoration. The jacket is missing the 4 pocket buttons and there is a small hole about 3-4mm. Given the inner label is clean it is possible it is unissued / unfinished surplus. Would make a great fancy dress piece.

Vintage surplus, made from a high quality wool, the jacket is comfortable and soft. As used by US officers for everyday environments, out of the field, as well as ceremonies and parade events. This particular jacket would've belonged to a member of the ordnance, transportation or logistics corps.
The jacket is sleek with minimal with features, having just 4 external button pockets. 2 Chest ones and 2 waist. Something neat though is the way officer shoulder epaulettes are attached on US jackets, as on each shoulder there's 2 metal bars to slide your insignia onto. For the interior, there's a slit pocket for keeping your wallet, ID, cigarettes, or whatever close to your person. The colour is a timeless dark navy blue colour which is contrasted by the engraved staybrite buttons and cuff braids.
