Grades - 

• Grade 1 - Great condition, does have signs of previous field use. There is fading in small places, certainly on the inner size labels, but over all in very good condition. Ready to wear.

A classic piece of American surplus. The entire range of M81 woodland gear is always a renowned piece, made to excellent US Army standards. These coats saw use across all branches of the US army for a number of decades. Even now the basic combat uniform used stems from the design of these jackets and usually use a similar material.

This jacket being a behemoth in the world of surplus is loved of course for a multitude of reasons. It offers plenty of storage space with 4 button pockets as well as adjustable wrist cuffs. Durability has been a key feature for many years and thanks to the reinforced elbow pads it is sure to keep up to its promise.

You'll find on this particular jacket it has been stamped with the United States' Marine Corps initials and rough outline of the emblem. These seem to have been varied across different decades and it is unusual to see it without the patches above, but none the less it is a fantastic touch to a great jacket.

As for the camouflage, the jacket is made up completely of the US M81 Woodland colourway, an excellent pattern that saw use across the globe! It went onto inspire numerous patterns over the following decades, both within various militaries and the commercial market. Even today, you'll find a select few countries using a M81 variant thanks to its fantastic concealment capabilities and adaptability throughout most temperate climates.
