Grades -

  • Grade 2 / Original Condition - Over all in fantastic shape for a piece made in 1940. The only real sign of prior use is the one shoulder epaulette being removed. The jacket has plenty of character, not only seeing use during WW2 but also having a second life with the National Finnish Theatre, shown by the inner property stamps. It is always amazing to see what life surplus ends up having after it has served its purpose and this is no exception.

A beautiful piece of classic World War 2 surplus. This American piece is absolutely iconic, being issued right throughout the war and inspiring many generations of uniforms. The jacket would've been used in a variety of situations, mostly out of combat, such as parade and other ceremonial duties.

The jacket is made of an all wool material and has a partial lining. You'll find each pocket has a wonderfully ornate golden button. All 4 pockets are functional and offer plenty of space for a dress jacket. Service jackets like this one truly are an amazing piece of history and wonderful for any collection.
